South Road Deck
The South Road home’s comprehensive landscape plan included replacing their modest deck which was mostly set of steps. This new small deck serves largely as the gateway between the interior living space and the large bluestone patio and gardens below, and is also the barbecue cooking area. To fulfill the owner’s goals of minimizing the view obstructions through the patio doors to the landscape and to fulfill Baltimore City code requirements, Richstone suggested Feeney’s vertical cable rail system. We installed ipe wood decking with hidden anchor clips on the surface and vertically on the sides in lieu of lattice; and ipe rail caps.
